If you are looking to purchase a home in Richmond Virginia, the cooler fall housing market is a perfect time to find a great deal. Seasonally March through July are the hottest months in our local housing market, but once kids head back to school and the leaves start to turn, the buying frenzy slows and the momentum in the housing market turns back to the buyer. Inventories are still fairly high in September and October so buyers have a fairly good selection of homes and don’t as much competition as other times of the year. The other nice thing about a fall purchase is that you can be in that new home for the holidays and there is nothing better than that!
